1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mawaddah mobile application ("App"), operated by Mawaddah ("we", "us", or "our").

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 13 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent).
• Have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
• Agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

2. Use of the App

Permitted Use

Mawaddah grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, networks, or servers connected to the App.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the App.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices within the App.

3. Prayer Time Accuracy

Mawaddah uses established Islamic prayer time calculation methods and location data to provide salah times. While we strive for accuracy, please be aware that:

• Prayer times are calculated estimates based on mathematical algorithms and may vary slightly from local mosque schedules.
• Accuracy depends on the precision of your device's location data.
• Different Islamic jurisprudential schools (madhabs) use different calculation methods, which may produce varying times.
• Always consult your local mosque or Islamic authority for definitive prayer times in your area.

We are not responsible for any missed prayers or religious obligations resulting from reliance solely on the App's prayer time calculations.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, audio clips, and code — are the exclusive property of Mawaddah and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

• The Mawaddah name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Mawaddah.
• You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.
• Quranic text, Hadith, and Islamic content included in the App are used respectfully and remain the common heritage of the Muslim Ummah.

5. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of prayer times, Qibla direction, or any other content.

Mawaddah is a tool to assist in worship and should not replace consultation with qualified Islamic scholars for religious guidance.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mawaddah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or profits.
• Service interruptions or inaccuracies in prayer time calculations.
• Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services (e.g., Google Firebase, prayer time APIs). These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and your use of them is subject to those terms. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.

Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked sites.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms.
• Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws may also apply.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When changes are material, we will notify you via an in-app notice and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
